1. How to get my own locker number and Indian address?
Once you signup on ShopIndiaSe and purchase a membership, you will be redirected to your dashboard where you can see your locker number and Indian address to use as delivery address.
2. How will you identify my package once it arrives at your warehouse?
Please include your unique locker number in the delivery address as shown in your dashboard. Your locker number enables us to identify your package.
3. How will I know when one of my packages arrives at your warehouse?
We notify you through WhatsApp or email, with the item photos and quality on the same day after receiving your package.
4. What if Instagram sellers allow GPay only and I don't have that payment method?
We can pay the seller on behalf of you through Shopping Assistant service. Please check here for more details.
5. Websites like Myntra, Meesho and Flipkart require Indian Phone number to sign up. How can I shop in those?

6. Do I need to pay Duty, Taxes or VAT during delivery in my country?
The import laws of countries vary and you may have to pay import duty/VAT/customs as per the laws of your receiving country, at the time of delivery which is collected by the carrier that delivers your shipment. I had a very positive first experience with Shop India Se and will definitely use their service again.
Living in Germany, it can be surprisingly difficult to buy certain products from India, especially more specific, personal or spiritual items that are simply not available locally or even in Indian/Asian shops here. Of course, you can sometimes ask friends or family travelling from India to bring things with them, but I personally don’t want to constantly burden others with shopping requests. Ordering individual items internationally through different websites, Amazon or Etsy can also become very expensive because of separate shipping costs.
This is why I really appreciate the concept of Shop India Se. I was able to order the things I wanted from different Indian websites and have them delivered to their address in India. Once the items arrived, they communicated with me via WhatsApp, checked the products and sent me photos. I really appreciated being able to see that everything was correct and in good condition before it was shipped internationally.
Once all my orders had arrived, everything was combined into one shipment to Germany. My parcel was sent via DHL, I was able to handle the customs/import process directly with DHL and the package was delivered safely to my home. Everything was very well packed and arrived in perfect condition.
For people living abroad who want access to products from India that are difficult or unnecessarily expensive to find locally, I think this is a genuinely useful service. Of course, international shipping costs depend on the weight of the parcel, so this is something to keep in mind. For several smaller items combined into one shipment, however, I find the service particularly practical.
I was positively surprised by my first experience and am already planning my next order. In the future, I also hope to use the service for some items we need for our temple that are difficult to source in Germany.
